JacquelineJacqueline Fernandez was born 11 August 1985 in Sri Lanka. She is a model and actress. In addition to her appearances on reality television and music videos she has also acted in Indian films most of them in Hindi. Her debut was with Aladin in 2009 her career has since started her career within the Hindi film industry. Fernandez was born in Bahrain to an ethnically diverse Eurasian couple that is of Sri Lankan, Canadian and Malaysian descent. After graduating in mass communications from the University of Sydney and working as a reporter for a TV station in Sri Lanka, she joined the modeling industry. In 2006 she was named Miss Universe Sri Lanka and represented her country in Miss Universe 2006. In the month of December 2021 Fernandez has been subjected to an investigation into a money laundering case involving Rs200 crore. Fernandez was interrogated by the Enforcement Directorate for 10 hours on the 9th of December 2021. On 22 December, ED denied Fernandez's request to lower the Lookout Circular (LOC) which was issued against her in the matter that blocks her to travel out of India
