Alison Krauss

Alison Krauss' first taste of notoriety as a fiddler occurred in the year 1990 when she was 19 years old and won the Grammy for Best Bluegrass Album. Krauss's third studio album I've Got That Old Feeling was awarded the prize even though she was 19 years young. Her first effort, Too Late to Cry came out when she was Champaign, Illinois, native was only 16; she signed a contract with Rounder Records--one the top folk music labels in the industry--at the age of fourteen. Krauss is known for her incredible musicianship and her accomplishments in her early years. Her devotion to bluegrass, one of the most enduring and unappreciated genres of the American tradition, is also an unavoidable fact. Krauss, who was once an incredibly talented teenager, has matured into a musician as well as a producer. Alison Alison Alison
