Alisyn Camerota

Alisyn Camerota, journalist, author, anchor of CNN's morning program "New Day," and Westport, CT resident, has been elected to the board of trustees at Westport Country Playhouse. Camerota has been a journalist for over 30 years, covered news stories as well as international. She received the Emmy Award in her early career when she covered the arrest for Roger Stone and the Edward R.Murrow award when she reported the details of the hurricane Maria. There are other board of trustees changes, Johnna G. Torsone of Stamford is appointed an honorary trustee following her service on the board since 2007, and Anna Czekaj-Farber of Westport was elected as the chair after serving since the beginning of 2013 on the board. CzekajFarber succeeds Barbara Streicker of Westport, who served as the board's chair until October 2015. She has continued to be a member of the board since 2006.
